About Ticked
I'm Enrico Pelizzon, and I built Ticked. It makes free, printable practice worksheets for UK primary maths: set a sheet up, generate it, then print it or save the PDF. There is no account, and nothing to pay. It is a one-person project.
Why I built it
Looking for practice sheets for my own family, I kept hitting the same three walls — a sign-up form before I could see anything, a subscription prompt at the moment of download, or a free PDF whose answer key was wrong.
The last one is why this site exists. A worksheet with a wrong answer key is worse than no worksheet: a child gets marked down for correct work, or quietly learns something they will have to unlearn. It is the one mistake a practice site cannot afford to make, and it is far more common than it should be.
How the sheets are made
Every worksheet is generated in your browser, on demand, from the national curriculum objective for that year and topic. Four things follow from how that is built:
- The answers are derived, not typed. Each question is built as structured data and its answer computed from that structure — so the key cannot drift out of step with the questions.
- The arithmetic is exact. Anything that is not a whole number — division, fractions, money, averages — is computed with exact decimal arithmetic rather than floating point, so a key never shows a rounded or drifted value.
- Every worksheet type is checked before it ships. Each one is compared against a stored reference sheet; if a change alters a single question or answer, the check fails and the change does not go out.
- Sheets are reproducible. Each carries a number, and that number with the same settings always regenerates the same sheet — so you can print the same one again next week, or a second copy for a sibling.
Nothing you generate leaves your device: the questions, the answer key and the PDF are all built in the browser. There is no account, so there is nothing to store — the one optional exception is the weekly email, which the privacy page explains. The privacy page sets out exactly what little is recorded.
Who it's for
Parents and carers doing ten minutes at the kitchen table; tutors who want a clean sheet without someone else's watermark; teachers topping up a lesson; and home educators building their own scheme of work. Everything is matched to the England national curriculum, uses UK conventions — £ and p, UK date order, the vocabulary used in English primary classrooms — and prints on A4.
The site is written for the adult. The child only ever sees the printed sheet, which is why there are no cartoon characters, points or games here — they get in the way of the person actually choosing the worksheet.
Free to use
Every sheet is free to print, copy and hand out — at home, in a classroom, in a tutoring session, at a home-education group. You do not need to ask me or credit me. The full terms are on the terms page.
